Excellent Chocolate. A definite recommendation to anyone obsessed with gourmet chocolate, or those who obsess over all chocolate.
As an aside, if you order ten bars shipping is $15, which means the cost delivered is $8.45/bar, not the $11.95 for a single bar.

Comment:
I'm hooked on the Amano Ocumare chocolate. These are wonderful, artisan chocolates! The Madagascar has more of an orange flavor to it, which doesn't appeal to me, but an artisan chocolate maker should be representing the flavor of the chocolate and Amano does a wonderful job of it. Try it!

Comment:
I'm astonished that someone burnt this chocolate with a "3" rating despite saying it was delicious, apparently because they don't like the price. Wow. Go back to your Hershey bars! If you're going to rate a product, rate the product, not the fact that you don't like paying for quality.
This is fine chocolate, from the best maker of chocolate in the United States. (For the best maker of chocolates, as opposed to chocolate, get Chocolatier Blue, although that's not available on Amazon.) And no, it isn't outrageously expensive, not for good artisan chocolate. Look at Amedei for comparison (the best chocolate in the world, and definitely more expensive). You don't compare Amano with what they're charging for the brown wax at the grocery store, for heaven's sake!
That said, fine chocolate is sort of an acquired taste, and it you're low on money, I wouldn't blow it on any brand of fine chocolate. Otherwise, this is a good start.

Comment:
I've tasted some of this extravagantly rich dark chocolate, 70% cocoa. And it is most delicious, no question about it.
But call it artisan chocolate, or whatever you like, I would not have spent $12 for a 2.2 ounce chocolate bar, including the shipping --- as Amazon had originally priced it --- chocoholic though I am. At that cost, even I would consider it too "rich." I have tasted equally fine master work chocolate for less, and no --- for ultimate chocolate connoisseurs --- not of the drug store Hershey or Cadbury varieties.
Maybe subsequent to April 13, 2008, Amazon lowered its price. I would not know. But as of April 17, 2010, the price was moot in any case --- since Amazon no longer offered the product. If it were revived at $8 something per bar, well, okay.
